Description: Cisco UCS ether:LossStatsHist:lateCollisionDelta managed object property
What is cucsEtherLossStatsHistLateCollisionDelta?
This field records how much the counter for late collisions detected on this interface — collisions that occurred after the first 64 bytes of a frame had already gone out changed during the specific collection interval this historical record captured — a frozen snapshot of that one interval's increase, not a live running total. For a network admin, a late-collision count that climbs on this specific link is the textbook symptom of a duplex mismatch or a cable run that exceeds the Ethernet distance limit. For example, 6 late collisions in the last interval on this specific FCoE path would already be worth a closer look, since this counter should normally sit at or near zero.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.16.4.1.26 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-ETHER-MIB::cucsEtherLossStatsHistLateCollisionDelta
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.16.4.1.26.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-ETHER-MIB::cucsEtherLossStatsHistLateCollisionDelta.1
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cucsEtherLossStatsHistLateCollisionDelta.1
