Description: Cisco UCS ether:LossStatsHist:carrierSenseDeltaAvg managed object property

What is cucsEtherLossStatsHistCarrierSenseDeltaAvg?

This field is the average, as frozen at the moment this historical snapshot was taken, of the per-interval delta values for carrier-sense errors, i.e. instances where the interface attempted to transmit without first detecting carrier on the medium, taken across the retained collection history for this stats object. Admins watch this to separate a genuinely sustained problem from one noisy interval — if DeltaAvg for carrierSense on this interface is climbing, on this Ethernet interface this typically points at a transceiver or physical-layer fault rather than a congestion issue, rather than a one-off spike. For example, an average of 0 carrier-sense errors per interval sustained over many polling cycles points at a chronic issue rather than a one-time glitch.
