This read-only SnmpAdminString reports the hardware revision of the installed transceiver, as read from the module itself, mainly useful for tracking exactly which build of an optic is deployed when investigating a known transceiver defect. Cisco occasionally publishes field notices tied to a specific optic revision, and this is the field an admin checks to see if their installed units are affected. Two optics of the same model number but different revisions could behave differently under a known issue, which is why the revision is tracked separately from the model.
