This TruthValue ("vpCompressionSupported") states whether the fabric-interconnect model supports VP (virtual-port) header compression on its switching ASIC. A network admin tuning throughput on heavily loaded uplinks checks this flag because on hardware where it is false, no compression-related switch configuration will have any effect regardless of how it is set elsewhere.
