Type: TruthValue

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS equipment:SwitchCap:dynamicVifsSupported managed object property

What is cucsEquipmentSwitchCapDynamicVifsSupported?

This TruthValue ("dynamicVifsSupported") indicates whether the fabric-interconnect model supports dynamic virtual interfaces (VIFs), the on-demand vNIC/vHBA interface allocation used with certain adapters and service-profile-based vNIC placement. An admin architecting service profiles with a large number of dynamic vNICs per server needs this flag true on the fabric interconnect, since a model reporting false will hard-cap the domain to static VIF assignment regardless of adapter capability. This reads "true" for 6200/6300-series fabric interconnects paired with VIC adapters that support dynamic vNICs, and "false" for older hardware that only supports static VIF pinning.
