Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS equipment:StorageSasExpanderDef:forceUpdateVersion managed object property

What is cucsEquipmentStorageSasExpanderDefForceUpdateVersion?

This TruthValue flags whether UCS Manager should force a firmware update of this SAS expander even when the installed firmware version nominally already matches what's expected. It exists as an override for cases where a version string can match while the actual firmware content still needs to be reflashed -- for example after a known-bad firmware build shared the same version number as a fixed one -- so relying on version comparison alone wouldn't catch the problem. A value of true means the next maintenance firmware pass will re-flash this expander regardless of its reported version; false means normal version-comparison logic decides whether an update is needed.
