Type: Gauge32

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS equipment:StorageSasExpanderCapProvider:gencount managed object property

What is cucsEquipmentStorageSasExpanderCapProviderGencount?

This Gauge32 is the generation counter UCS Manager stamps on this SAS-expander capability-catalog entry each time the Capability Catalog package defining it is updated. Because catalog packages are periodically refreshed by Cisco and pushed into UCS Manager, this counter is how the system (and an admin comparing two domains) can tell whether both are running the exact same version of this specific catalog entry, not just the same overall catalog release. It increments by small integer steps with each catalog revision that touches this entry, so two domains showing different gencount values here are running out-of-sync catalogs for this hardware type.
