Description: Cisco UCS equipment:PsuCapProvider:promCardType managed object property

What is cucsEquipmentPsuCapProviderPromCardType?

This Gauge32 is a numeric code identifying the type of PROM (programmable read-only memory) card associated with this PSU's capability-catalog entry, i.e. which identity/firmware-EEPROM layout UCS Manager expects to read from the PSU. UCS Manager uses the PROM contents to verify a PSU's identity and firmware compatibility during inventory discovery, so a promCardType value that doesn't match what UCS Manager expects for this catalog entry can point to a PSU whose onboard PROM is corrupted, blank, or from an unsupported clone part. In practice this shows up as a small integer code such as 1 or 2, corresponding internally to a specific PROM layout UCS Manager's discovery process recognizes for that PSU family.
