Description: Cisco UCS equipment:MgmtCapProvider:promCardType managed object property

What is cucsEquipmentMgmtCapProviderPromCardType?

This Gauge32 holds the promCardType — a numeric card-type code UCS Manager reads out of the component's own PROM (programmable read-only memory) — recorded as part of the capability-catalog entry recording what one specific chassis or server management controller — a CMC or CIMC — is capable of. UCS Manager's discovery logic matches this raw PROM code against the catalog to decide which management-controller capability rule actually applies, so a mismatch here, rather than a wrong model string, is often the real reason a part gets misidentified during inventory. A value like 204 might map to one specific management-controller variant in Cisco's internal PROM-code table, distinct from a sibling part whose PROM reports 205.
