This is the Relative Name of the IOM type-definition record, the path component it contributes under its parent node in the type-definition hierarchy, used to build the full DN. For example, an RN incorporating the PID lets an admin identify which IOM model a given type-definition row registers just from the RN string, the same way the equivalent capability-provider entries do.
