This is the archived average speed for the fan over the interval that history row represents. Trending this across many rows shows an admin whether a fan's typical operating speed has been drifting upward over weeks -- a sign of accumulating dust or a bearing starting to work harder -- rather than staying flat. A slow rise from 6000 to 7500 RPM over a month of history rows for one fan, with no corresponding rise for its neighbors, points at that fan specifically.
