This is an internal update/generation counter for the ChassisStats object, per its update property, incrementing each time the record is refreshed. An admin can use a stalled update counter, more reliably than a stalled raw power value, as the signal that stats collection for a chassis has stopped entirely rather than the chassis simply having stable power. If update stops incrementing across five consecutive polls while inputPower stays a flat '0', that flat reading is a collection failure, not an actual zero draw.
