What is cucsEquipmentCatalogCapProviderPromCardType?

This is a numeric code identifying the PROM/EEPROM card type associated with one capability-catalog provider entry -- one row of the UCS hardware/firmware capability catalog describing a specific adapter, controller, or component model and what it supports in the capability catalog. UCS Manager uses this internal type code, rather than the model string, to match the physical component's PROM data against the correct capability entry during discovery of a catalog capability provider entry. This typically holds a small internal integer such as '12' that only UCS Manager's own catalog logic interprets.
