Module: CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-CONTROLLER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-CONTROLLER-MIB::cucsControllerPreferedVersionHolderInUse

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.83.7.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS controller:PreferedVersionHolder:inUse managed object property

What is cucsControllerPreferedVersionHolderInUse?

This TruthValue 'inUse' reports whether the preferred version holder is actually the one currently active, i.e. whether operational and preferred match. A value of false here is an operational signal worth investigating: it means the cluster has failed over away from its designated primary fabric interconnect and is running on the secondary, even if everything otherwise looks healthy. After fabric interconnect A fails and B takes over, B's PreferedVersionHolder record (if A was preferred) would report inUse as `false` until A is restored and control fails back.
