Description: Cisco UCS compute:MemoryConfiguration:adminMemoryState managed object property
What is cucsComputeMemoryConfigurationAdminMemoryState?
This enumerated field is the administrator-set desired state for this server's memory subsystem — for example whether it should be treated as fully equipped and in service, or administratively decommissioned/ignored. It matters operationally because it's a deliberate admin override, distinct from what UCS Manager's own hardware inventory discovers, so a mismatch between this field and the physically installed DIMMs signals a manual action someone took (such as decommissioning a suspect DIMM) rather than a hardware fault by itself. Setting adminMemoryState to a decommissioned value for a specific memory array tells UCS Manager to stop counting that memory toward the server's available capacity even though the DIMMs remain physically installed.
