Description: Cisco UCS compute:Cartridge:discovery managed object property

What is cucsComputeCartridgeDiscovery?

This CucsComputeCartridgeDiscovery-typed property reports whether UCS Manager has successfully completed its discovery process for this cartridge, inventorying its hardware and bringing it under management, or is still in progress or has failed to do so. A cartridge stuck in a non-complete discovery state won't be usable for service profile association or management actions, so an admin troubleshooting a cartridge that doesn't show up as available would check this property first before assuming a hardware fault. Seeing a failed or incomplete discovery status here, rather than a hardware alarm, points the admin toward reseating the cartridge or checking chassis connectivity instead of RMA'ing hardware.
