Description: This object indicates the selected T0 clock source's effective quality level, which is the derived clock quality based on the three factors: (a) Received quality level. (b) Configured Rx quality level. This factor supersedes (a). (c) System overridden quality level as a result of exceptional events such as signal failure or ESMC failure. This factor supersedes (a) and (b).

What is cnsSelInpSrcQualityLevel?

This object reports the effective quality level of the currently-selected T0 clock, which per the description is derived by a specific precedence: an override due to signal failure or ESMC failure trumps a manually configured receive quality level, which in turn trumps the QL actually received over the wire. It matters because this single value tells an admin exactly how trustworthy the device's current timing reference is right now, and the layered derivation explains why the reported QL might not match what a neighboring device is actually advertising if a local override or manual config is in play. Seeing a QL value of Do-Not-Use here despite the source physically being up would point the admin toward checking for a local configuration override or a signal-failure condition suppressing the true incoming quality.
