Module: CISCO-NETSYNC-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-NETSYNC-MIB::cnsInpSrcQualityLevelTxCfg

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.761.1.1.3.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CiscoNetsyncQualityLevel

Access: read-only

Description: This object indicates the configured transmit clock quality level of an input clock source.

What is cnsInpSrcQualityLevelTxCfg?

This object reports the quality level value this device is configured to transmit toward an input clock source's associated interface, relevant when that interface is bidirectional and this device might also be a timing source for its neighbor. It matters in ring or mesh SyncE topologies where the device both receives timing from, and sends quality-level advertisements to, the same neighbor; an incorrectly configured transmit QL here could mislead that neighbor about how trustworthy this device's own timing actually is. Configuring this to a deliberately low QL value on an interface would signal to the downstream neighbor not to use this device's clock via this link, even while this device still uses the same link to receive timing from the other direction.
