Description: This object indicates the hold-off time value of an input clock source.

The hold-off time prevents short activation of signal failure is passed to the selection process. When a signal failure event is reported on a clock source, it waits the duration of the hold-off time before declaring signal failure on the clock source.

What is cnsInpSrcHoldoffTime?

This object reports the hold-off time configured for this specific input clock source, the debounce delay before a signal failure on this particular source is acted upon by the selection process, distinct from any global holdoff time that may apply device-wide. It matters because a source known to have occasional brief signal glitches, like a marginal fiber run, can be given a longer per-source holdoff than a rock-solid GPS reference, tuning failover sensitivity individually per source. Configuring a longer holdoff specifically on a flaky secondary BITS feed prevents it from triggering unnecessary failover chatter while still allowing quick failover reaction on a more reliable primary source.
