sonetLineCurrentDayESsThreshold

Module: CISCO-MGX82XX-SONET-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-MGX82XX-SONET-MIB::sonetLineCurrentDayESsThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.4.6.1.4.7.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The default is set to 200. This threshold is the same for Far End and Near End.

What is sonetLineCurrentDayESsThreshold?

This integer sets the Errored Seconds count that, if exceeded over the current full-day Line-layer interval, triggers a statistical alarm, defaulting to 200 and applying identically to both near-end and far-end statistics. An admin cares because this daily threshold catches chronic Line-layer error accumulation in either direction that never spikes enough in one 15-minute window to alarm on its own. For example, a line logging small amounts of far-end ES every few hours all day could quietly exceed this daily threshold of 200 without ever tripping the 15-minute threshold.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-MGX82XX-SONET-MIB::sonetLineCurrentDayESsThreshold

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.4.6.1.4.7.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-MGX82XX-SONET-MIB::sonetLineCurrentDayESsThreshold.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.4.6.1.4.7.1.4.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> sonetLineCurrentDayESsThreshold.1
