Description: This object is used for adding/deleting entries in this table. This object can be set to 'active' only with valid value for cfgFilterIpProtocolNumber object.

What is cfgFilterIpProtocolGroupRowStatus?

This is the row-status object for adding or deleting an IP-protocol filter entry, which can only be set to active once a valid cfgFilterIpProtocolNumber has already been configured for that row. This mirrors the same activation-ordering pattern seen elsewhere in this MIB -- the protocol number must be set before the row can go active -- which an admin scripting filter policy creation needs to account for in the sequencing of their SNMP set operations. Attempting to activate a new protocol filter entry before assigning it a specific protocol number, like 6 for TCP, would cause the activation to fail.
