cfcFeatureCtrlTag2

Module: CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB::cfcFeatureCtrlTag2

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.2.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SnmpAdminString

Access: read-write

Description: A human readable unique string identifying a given instance of a multiple instance feature.

What is cfcFeatureCtrlTag2?

This is a human-readable identifier distinguishing one specific instance of a feature that supports multiple simultaneous instances, working alongside cfcFeatureCtrlName2 to fully identify which particular instance a given table row's action/status objects refer to. This object is what makes the entire 2 series meaningfully different from the original single-instance feature-control objects, since without a per-instance tag, a device with several FEX units would have no way to represent or control them individually through this MIB. A device with two FEX modules attached might show tag values 101 and 102 respectively, letting an admin enable, disable, or check status on each FEX unit independently through its own distinct table row.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.2.1.10
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB::cfcFeatureCtrlTag2

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.2.1.10.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB::cfcFeatureCtrlTag2.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.2.1.10.1 s <value>
