Module: CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB::cfcFeatureCtrlLastFailureReason
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.1.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: SnmpAdminString
Access: read-only
Description: The failure reason description for the failed execution of last action triggered for the feature. If the corresponding instance of 'cfcFeatureCtrlLastActionResult' has the value 'actionFailed', then this object contains the reason as to why it failed. Otherwise, the value of this object is the zero-length string. cfcFeatureCtrlLastFailureReason object is superseded by cfcFeatureCtrlLastFailureReason2.
What is cfcFeatureCtrlLastFailureReason?
This carries a text description of why the last triggered action for this feature failed, but only when cfcFeatureCtrlLastActionResult reports actionFailed -- otherwise it is simply a zero-length string. This is the specific field an admin should check to get an actual human-readable explanation of a failed enable/disable attempt, rather than just knowing that it failed, which matters for diagnosing licensing, dependency, or resource conflicts blocking a feature activation. A failed attempt to enable the fex feature might populate this field with something like 'Insufficient license' or 'Dependent feature not enabled', giving the admin the specific blocker rather than a generic failure.
