cfcFeatureCtrlLastActionResult

Module: CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB::cfcFeatureCtrlLastActionResult

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CiscoFeatureActionResult

Access: read-only

Description: The result of execution of last action (represented by value of 'cfcFeatureCtrlLastAction') for the feature. When the value of this object is 'actionInProgress', the value of the corresponding instance of 'cfcFeatureCtrlAction' can not be modified. cfcFeatureCtrlLastActionResult object is superseded by cfcFeatureCtrlLastActionResult2.

What is cfcFeatureCtrlLastActionResult?

This reports the outcome of the most recently triggered action for this feature, and specifically when the value is actionInProgress, the corresponding cfcFeatureCtrlAction object is locked and cannot be modified until that in-progress action completes. This locking behavior matters for automation: a script attempting to trigger a new action on a feature that is still mid-transition needs to poll this object first and wait for it to leave actionInProgress rather than assuming the action write will simply queue or overwrite. A script that tries to disable the fcoe feature while this object still reads actionInProgress from an earlier enable request would find the disable attempt rejected until the in-progress enable finishes.
