cfcFeatureCtrlAction2

Module: CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB::cfcFeatureCtrlAction2

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CiscoFeatureAction

Access: read-write

Description: The action to be triggered for the feature. Setting the value of this object to a value other than 'enable' or 'disable' does not trigger any action for the feature and hence does not affect the value of corresponding instance of 'cfcFeatureCtrlLastAction2'. Retrieving the value of this object via SNMP will always return 'noOp'.

What is cfcFeatureCtrlAction2?

This is the write-triggered enable/disable action object for the newer, multi-instance-capable feature series, functioning identically to the original cfcFeatureCtrlAction -- writing enable or disable triggers the action, and reading it back always returns noOp. Because this object works in concert with cfcFeatureCtrlTag2 to target a specific named instance of a feature, an admin managing multiple instances of the same feature type must ensure they are setting this in the correctly-indexed table row for the specific instance intended, not just the feature type generally. Enabling one specific FEX instance out of several configured on the device requires setting this object on the table row indexed for that particular instance's tag, not a single feature-wide switch.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.2.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB::cfcFeatureCtrlAction2

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.2.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB::cfcFeatureCtrlAction2.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.377.1.1.2.1.4.1 s <value>
