cermResUserOrGroupRisingThresh

Module: CISCO-ERM-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ERM-MIB::cermResUserOrGroupRisingThresh

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.510.1.2.9.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CermThreshold

Access: read-only

Description: This object indicates the rising threshold value set for the thereshold configuration for the resource owner sub-type <-> resource user/group relationship. If the rising threshold value is not set for the resource owner sub-type <-> resource user/group relationship, then this table will not have any entry for the relationship.

What is cermResUserOrGroupRisingThresh?

This is a custom rising threshold value configured specifically for one resource user's or group's usage of a resource owner sub-type, and if no such custom threshold has been set, this table simply will not have a row for that relationship at all. This lets an admin override the systemwide global threshold for one particular heavy-consuming process or group without changing the alerting behavior for every other consumer of that same resource pool. An admin might leave the global processor memory rising threshold at 80 percent for everything, but add a custom entry setting a stricter 50 percent rising threshold specifically for the BGP Router process, known to leak memory when misbehaving.
