Description: In traps generated by the management application that support multiple partitions, the attribute will carry the integer value assigned to identify the logical group where the managed device resides.

What is cenPartitionNumber?

In deployments where the management application supports multiple partitions, logical groupings often by customer or region in a managed-service context, this carries the integer identifier of the partition the affected device belongs to. This lets a multi-tenant NOC filter or route alarms by customer/partition automatically, which matters when one management platform is monitoring devices belonging to several separate customers or business units. A managed service provider running one Prime instance across 40 customers might see this field read 12 on an alarm, letting their ticketing system auto-assign it to customer 12's support queue without manual lookup.
