entSensorThresholdRelation

Module: CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB::entSensorThresholdRelation

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.2.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SensorThresholdRelation

Access: read-write

Description: This variable indicates the relation between sensor value (entSensorValue) and threshold value (entSensorThresholdValue), required to trigger the alarm. when evaluating the relation, entSensorValue is on the left of entSensorThresholdRelation, entSensorThresholdValue is on the right.

in pseudo-code, the evaluation-alarm mechanism is:

... if (entSensorStatus == ok) then if (evaluate(entSensorValue, entSensorThresholdRelation, entSensorThresholdValue)) then if (entSensorThresholdNotificationEnable == true)) then raise_alarm(sensor's entPhysicalIndex); endif endif endif ...

What is entSensorThresholdRelation?

A configurable comparison operator (such as greater-than or less-than) that defines how the sensor's current value is compared to its threshold value to decide whether an alarm should fire.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.2.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB::entSensorThresholdRelation

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.2.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB::entSensorThresholdRelation.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.2.1.1.3.1 s <value>
