This object reports the administrative name given to the VPN, or VRF, that this EIGRP autonomous system instance is running within. On a router running multiple EIGRP processes for different VRFs, this name is how an admin distinguishes which EIGRP AS row belongs to which customer or service VPN when reading the rest of the EIGRP MIB's per-AS counters and tables. A provider edge router running separate EIGRP instances for CUSTOMER-A and CUSTOMER-B VRFs would show two different values here, letting the admin correctly attribute neighbor counts and packet counters to the right customer.
