This counter tracks requests for deleting existing security associations that this protocol sent to the accelerators, counted since the last reboot. A rising delete count that isn't matched by a similar create count for the same protocol could indicate tunnels being torn down without being properly re-established, which an admin would want to catch before it results in a VPN outage rather than just a rekey. If this counter spikes for the IPsec row without a corresponding rise in create requests, an admin would suspect tunnels are being torn down and not automatically restored, worth checking peer-side logs.
