Description: The number of payload encrypt requests received by the crypto accelerators from this security protocol, counted since the last reboot of the device.

What is ccaProtPktEncryptsReqs?

This counter tracks payload encrypt requests received by the crypto accelerators from a specific security protocol, since this row is indexed by protocol such as IPsec or SSL, counted since the last reboot. Because this is broken out per protocol rather than per hardware module, an admin uses it to see which security protocol is generating the most crypto workload on the device overall, useful when multiple protocols share the same accelerator hardware. If this counter for the IPsec row vastly outpaces the SSL row, that tells the admin site-to-site VPN traffic, not remote-access SSL VPN, is the dominant driver of crypto load on this device.
