This counter tracks requests for payload decapsulation that this protocol sent to the accelerators, counted since the last reboot. This is the receive-side counterpart to ccaProtPktEncapReqs, unwrapping the tunnel header from inbound traffic for that protocol, and an admin comparing encap versus decap counts for the same protocol can spot directional traffic imbalance in tunneled flows. A GRE-over-IPsec tunnel carrying mostly one-way traffic might show this counter on one end far exceeding the encapsulation count, confirming the asymmetric traffic pattern.
