This counter tracks combined inbound hash-and-encrypt SSL records processed by this module, counted since it last became active. This is the receive-side counterpart for SSL offload, and comparing it to the outbound count on an SSL VPN gateway helps an admin see whether client-to-server or server-to-client traffic dominates the encrypted session volume. On an SSL VPN terminating mostly file-upload traffic, an admin might see this counter notably higher than outbound, reflecting the direction of the bulk data flow.
