Description: Identifies the Local In-Channel Signaling Protocol that is used for this frame relay port.
What is casfFrLmiProtocol?
This read-write object selects which local in-channel signaling protocol variant, none, lmi, ansiT1617D, ansiT1617B, or ccittQ933A, this frame relay port uses to track PVC status with the attached device. Mismatching it against what the attached CPE actually runs is a very common cause of a physically up frame relay port showing all of its PVCs as inactive. Connecting to older equipment that only speaks the original lmi protocol instead of a newer ANSI or ITU standard would need this set to lmi, not ansiT1617D or ccittQ933A.
