This read-write value sets the network-side error threshold for this frame relay port, used when this port is performing the dce or nni role and is monitoring the health of the attached device's enquiries. It governs how many failed polling cycles from the attached CPE this switch will tolerate before marking that side's frame-relay service down. A switch acting as dce for a customer router would use this threshold to decide when to declare the customer link down based on how many of the customer's status enquiries went unanswered or arrived late.
