casfConfIfCledSpvcClpModeDef

Module: CISCO-ATM-SWITCH-FR-IWF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ATM-SWITCH-FR-IWF-MIB::casfConfIfCledSpvcClpModeDef

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.112.1.3.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the default mapping from Discard Eligibility (DE) bit on the Frame Relay side to Congestion Loss Priority (CLP) bit on the ATM side.This is used when receiving a soft PVC Setup using the standard encoding of the called Soft PVC IE. Otherwise a proprietary encoding provides this information.

What is casfConfIfCledSpvcClpModeDef?

This read-write object sets the default Discard-Eligibility-to-Congestion-Loss-Priority mapping for the same standards-encoded incoming soft PVC scenario as casfConfIfCledSpvcDeModeDef, but for the opposite mapping direction. Between the two objects an admin controls how a remotely initiated, standards-encoded soft VC handles both CLP-DE mapping directions by default rather than per connection. Setting this to clpIfIsOne means incoming standard-encoded soft PVCs on this interface default to marking every cell's CLP as high-discard-priority regardless of the frame's DE bit, unless the signaling itself overrides it.
