Because it's scoped to a single group, watching it lets an admin see whether disconnect activity is concentrated in one subscriber tier, such as a group being deliberately purged after a promotion ends, instead of spread evenly across the box. A 'trial-30day' group showing a sudden burst of PODs on day 31 would indicate the trial-expiry disconnect job firing on schedule.
