cApsStatusCdlApsBytesRcv

Module: CISCO-APS-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-APS-EXT-MIB::cApsStatusCdlApsBytesRcv

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.72.1.3.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CdlApsBytes

Access: read-only

Description: The current value of the APS bytes received on the protection channel. This object applies only to CDL interfaces. This is equivalent to cApsStatusK1K2Rcv for SONET.

What is cApsStatusCdlApsBytesRcv?

This reports the current raw APS protocol byte value received on the protection channel for CDL (Cisco Data Link, a proprietary framing used on non-SONET media) interfaces specifically, serving the same functional role that cApsStatusK1K2Rcv serves for SONET-based APS. An admin working with a CDL-based protected link reads this instead of the K1/K2 objects, since those are specific to SONET framing and wouldn't apply here. For example, an admin troubleshooting protection switching on a CDL-based microwave or proprietary link would check this object rather than cApsStatusK1K2Rcv, which would be meaningless for that interface type.
