cApsChanConfigReflectorMode
Module: CISCO-APS-EXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-APS-EXT-MIB::cApsChanConfigReflectorMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.72.1.5.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-only
Description: Indicates whether the channel is in reflector mode or not. Reflector mode establishes a communication channel between the local PTE and the remote PTE at the other end of the SONET path. This object has a value of true(1), if reflector mode is configured and a value of false(2), if the reflector mode is not configured on the channel.
What is cApsChanConfigReflectorMode?
This read-only flag indicates whether this channel has reflector mode configured, a mode that establishes a dedicated communication channel between this device's Path Terminating Equipment (PTE) and the remote PTE at the far end of the SONET path, distinct from the normal payload traffic on the channel. An admin checks this to understand whether the channel is being used partly for that PTE-to-PTE signaling function rather than purely as a data-carrying protected circuit. For example, a channel showing true(1) here is participating in some additional far-end signaling relationship beyond just carrying regular protected traffic, which an admin would need to account for when fully decommissioning or repurposing that channel.
