If cApsChanAssociationNumber represents a protection channel number, this object indicates the IP Address of the associated working channel.

What is cApsChanAssociationIpAddress?

This reports the IP address of whichever channel is the counterpart to the one identified by cApsChanAssociationNumber -- if that index refers to a working channel, this gives the IP address of its associated protection channel, and vice versa if the index refers to the protection channel itself. This cross-referencing lets an admin, starting from either a working or protection channel's row, immediately find the IP address of its paired counterpart without having to separately look up which channel numbers are associated with which. For example, starting from a working channel's row and reading this object would directly give the admin the IP address to check on the protection channel that backs it up, without needing a separate lookup table.
