Description: Default Gateway is Dhcp option 3. Default = '' = Null String. The format of the string can be up to 8 IP addresses in the list, for example: '121.23.1.12 135.64.13.190 192.123.242.230'
What is cigDhcpClientsDefaultGatewayList?
This reports the default gateway address or addresses this interface received from the DHCP server via option 3, which can list up to eight IP addresses per the description if the server is configured to hand out multiple gateway options for redundancy. An admin troubleshooting why traffic from a DHCP-configured interface isn't reaching a remote network would check this value first to confirm a valid, non-empty gateway was actually received, since an empty string here means the device has no default route at all beyond its local subnet. For example, this reporting '192.168.1.1' tells the admin exactly which upstream router this interface will forward off-subnet traffic to.
