Description: The persistent tunnel retry infinity. This is the state which when on, triggers RSVP-TE to try to restore the tunnels infinite times. This object can only be set if RSVP-TE is globally disabled.

What is cienaCesRsvpteRetryInfiniteState?

This controls whether RSVP-TE retries re-establishing a persistent tunnel forever, on, rather than giving up after the configured retry-max attempts. With this on, a persistent tunnel whose destination has become permanently unreachable, say decommissioned, will generate retry signaling traffic indefinitely rather than settling into a clearly-failed, inoperable state that would prompt an admin to notice and clean it up. For example, with this on, a tunnel to a site that was permanently decommissioned six months ago would still be silently generating periodic re-establishment attempts today, unless an admin manually removed the tunnel configuration.
