Description: The setup priority to apply to LSPs that are not signaling this parameter. 0 represents the highest priority and 7 the lowest. The value of this object must be numerically greater than or equal to (lower or equal priority) than the value of the holding priority object.

What is cienaCesRsvpteLSPSetupPriority?

This is the default setup priority, 0 highest to 7 lowest, applied to any LSP that doesn't explicitly signal its own setup priority, used by RSVP-TE to decide which lower-priority existing LSPs can be preempted to make room for a new one being set up. Because the object's own description requires this value be numerically greater than or equal to the holding priority, a device where setup priority is accidentally configured higher-priority than holding priority would violate the standard TE preemption model, where an LSP should never be easier to preempt while being set up than once established. For example, a setup priority of 4 paired with a holding priority of 2 means a new LSP competes less aggressively for bandwidth during setup than it defends its bandwidth once established, the intended relationship.
