Description: This is the time in seconds between re-transmissions to the RADIUS server.

What is cienaCesRadiusDot1xAcctTimeout?

This sets, in seconds, how long the switch waits for an Accounting-Response before retransmitting an unacknowledged accounting record (start, interim-update, or stop) to this server. Because accounting records that never get acknowledged and exhaust their retries are simply lost, unlike authentication there is no user-facing retry the way a supplicant re-authenticates, so too aggressive a timeout on a slow or distant accounting server risks quietly losing session-usage records rather than just delaying a login. For example, 3 seconds might be fine for a local accounting server but could cause interim-update records to be dropped if that server occasionally takes 4-5 seconds to write to its database under load.
