Description: Section, Errored seconds.

What is cienaCesPmTdmOCnPortTotalStatisticsBinEss?

Per its DESCRIPTION, this Counter64 counts the number of one-second intervals in which the SONET Section layer of this port registered at least one B1 BIP-8 parity error or an anomaly/defect. Because this is a lifetime counter that only resets on an explicit clear, a reading here means the section layer logged at least one parity error on this OC-n (SONET) port, accumulated over the port's entire service life, not merely since the last reboot. For example, a lifetime count of 12 errored seconds is small enough that a technician would leave it alone, whereas a count in the tens of thousands would justify pulling and re-seating the fiber connector.
