What is cienaCesPmTdmOCnPortCurrBinAisl?

This counts Line-layer Alarm Indication Signal seconds on this SONET/SDH port: seconds during which an AIS-L defect (an upstream-failure placeholder signal) was being received at the Line layer, per the MIB's description. AISL on this specific port is a signal about somewhere else in the network, not this port itself -- it means an upstream network element already detected a failure and is squelching real traffic with AIS, so an admin seeing AISL climb here should look upstream of this port rather than at this interface's own optics; because this bin is the still-open, currently-accumulating interval, its value is only a partial count until the bin's Duration elapses and it rolls into history -- polling it twice a few minutes apart is the fastest way to catch a fault building up in near real time. Seeing 14 AIS-L seconds in this bin with the port's own CVL/ESL otherwise clean would tell an admin the fault lies further up the SONET ring, not on this local port.
