Access: read-only

Description: The total number of packets received that were longer than 1518 octets (excluding framing bits, but including FCS octets), and had either a bad Frame Check Sequence (FCS) with an integral number of octets (FCS Error) or a bad FCS with a non-integral number of octets (Alignment Error).

What is cienaCesPmExtendedTxRxHistoryBinJabbersPkts?

This read-only Counter64 records the total number of packets received that were both oversized, over 1518 octets, and carried a bad FCS, per its description, i.e., corrupted jabber frames rather than the legitimate oversized/jumbo frames counted separately as OversizePkts. Jabber frames classically originate from a malfunctioning NIC stuck transmitting continuously beyond the normal frame boundary, so a nonzero count here during a specific bin is a strong, time-localized signal pointing at a faulty end-device NIC rather than a link or configuration issue. An engineer chasing intermittent errors on a port would use the specific bins showing jabber counts to narrow down the time window a misbehaving device was actually connected and transmitting.
