Description: The total number of packets received that were longer than 1518 octets but less than or equal to the MTU (excluding framing bits, but including FCS octets) and were otherwise well formed.

What is cienaCesPmExtendedTxRxCurrBinOversizePkts?

This counts frames received on this interface that were longer than 1518 octets but still within the port's configured MTU, and otherwise well-formed. If jumbo frames are intentionally enabled on this port, a rising OversizePkts count for the current, still-accumulating short interval bin is simply confirming that configuration is in use; if jumbo frames were not intentionally enabled here, the same rise means something upstream is sending larger frames than this interface was expected to receive. For example, OversizePkts climbing to 340 for this in-progress short-interval bin right after enabling jumbo frames on a storage VLAN riding this port is the expected confirmation that the change took effect end-to-end.
