Description: The total number of packets received that were less than 64 octets long (excluding framing bits, but including FCS octets) and were otherwise well formed.

What is cienaCesPmExtendedTxRxCurr24HBinUndersizePkts?

This counts frames received on this interface that were shorter than the 64-octet Ethernet minimum but were otherwise well-formed, with a valid FCS. Because the FCS checked out, an undersized frame here isn't corruption -- during today's still-accumulating 24-hour bin on this port it usually traces back to a misbehaving NIC or software stack on the sending device that isn't padding short frames correctly, distinct from the malformed short frames FragmentsPkts tracks on the same interface. For example, UndersizePkts appearing only after a particular server's NIC driver was updated, visible in this in-progress 24-hour bin on the port that server connects to, would point investigation straight at that host.
