Description: The number of bytes forwarded on this PM instance.

What is cienaCesPmBasicTxRxHist24HBinBasicTxForwardedBytes?

This read-only Counter64 counts the bytes this PM instance successfully forwarded out on egress. Admins trend this against the interface's provisioned bandwidth to see how close the service is running to its ceiling, since forwarded bytes — not accepted bytes — reflect what actually left the box; because it is drawn from the most recently completed 24-hour bin, frozen once the day rolled over, it is frozen and safe to use for day-over-day comparison, since no further traffic will ever be added to it. On a 10 Gbps wholesale handoff port, this might read 4,050,000 bytes over yesterday's completed 24-hour window — a number an admin would divide by the bin length to sanity-check it against the port's 10,000,000,000-bps ceiling.
